And the last 2 episodes of FRIENDS come on and I watch it for that hour and I’m ready to collapse and cry to see the series end for like the millionth time even though I know what happens. Monica and Chandler deliver their twins, Jack and Erica. Rachel almost leaves to Paris. Phoebe takes Ross to confesses his love at the airport. Rachel makes a dramatic last effort to return to him. Joey and Chandler have their last words in their apartment along with their baby chick and duck. And they all leave their keys on the counter to get coffee at God knows where……
and my childhood ends when they cut to those credits.
Then the next show comes on. I hear the FRIENDS theme song and it’s the very first episode of the series. Ross is divorced for the first time and talks to Joey and Phoebe about it in their usual spot of Central Perk and Rachel busts in with her wedding dress.
and just like that my childhood is revamped.
